The history of the Moringa tree dates back to 150 B.C. Ancient kings and queens used Moringa leaves and fruit in their diet to maintain mental alertness and fresh and healthy skin. Ancient Maurian warriors of India were fed with Moringa Leaf Extract in the warfront prior to battle. This special elixir drink was believed to give them extra energy and relieve them of the stress and pain they incurred during grueling war. These are the brave soldiers who defeated “Alexander the Great.”

There are 13 varieties of Moringa, but Moringa Oleifera is the most well known. Every part of this tree is actually edible, from the leaves, trunks, stems, all the way down to its root (known as the “horseradish root”).
