Create Whole Body Health By Eating Alkaline

WOW….those are words to remember!!

Optimal wellness for our body is having a slightly alkaline pH balance, which creates the right amount of oxygen in our blood for all of our cells to function normally. By having an acidic pH can lead to a higher chance of disease. Of course, acidic foods are fine to eat, but we need to maintain the balance of our blood pH levels slightly towards the alkaline side. It takes a conscious effort sometimes to achieve this, because we all tend to eat more from the acidic side.

An acidic pH can occur from eating too many acidic foods, but also from emotional stress, toxic overload, or anything that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. In response, the body will try to compensate by using alkaline minerals to create the right balance. If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur.

It’s interesting that our emotions can have just as much effect on our pH levels as what we eat and drink!


Symptoms of having higher acidic pH levels are commonly digestive issues, an overgrowth of yeast (candida), fatigue, mood swings and irritability, inflammation and challenges with the immune system response. The best way to combat this is to eat or drink plenty of alkaline foods and by drinking lots of water….and checking your emotional state of mind!

The ideal diet should consist of 60%  alkaline foods and 40%  acid foods to maintain good health.  If your goal is to restore back to good health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline foods and 20% acid foods.
